What is Swift©?
Swift is a new technology, developed in the UK, which has been licensed for the general treatment of verrucae or warts in Podiatry. Swift uses microwave energy that is delivered through a special probe applied to the skin to treat the affected area. Betafeet will be one of only a few clinics in the UK to offer this treatment.

TheBBC's Panorama this week reports that Type 2 diabetes affects almost one in ten people in Birmingham. An illness that can lead to heart failure, blindness, kidney disease and leg amputations has to be taken seriously, especially when it's spreading outside it's familiar territory in people over 60 and affecting increasingly large numbers of children and young people.
If you ask people what causes diabetes, nine out of ten will probably say it's about a sugar-rich diet, obesity, and lack of exercise. And there's no doubt these are all factors in the development of the disease. Yet like most things, it's not always as simple as that. Other lifestyle factors like the times of day we eat, how much good quality sleep we get, our working hours, and the amount of stress we have to cope with, can make a huge difference to how well our bodies deal with sugar and carbohydrates.
At Beta Health Clinic we go further than the usual diet and exercise advice. We have therapists trained in managing Type 2 Diabetes in a way that improves your general health, as well as therapies to help lower your stress levels, enabling you to rebalance your lifestyle.
